Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)

“When you see a person who has been given more than you in money and beauty, look to those, who have been given less.”

Aetidal mein zindagi

Meraj lives with her family of 15 at Sevda Ghewra, Mundka a resettlement colony for the people whose houses (Shanties) were demolished by the MCD in 2006. They were living in a one room shanty at JJ Colony in Laxmi Nagar, East Delhi. After their house was demolished they were homeless and lived on footpaths for almost 2months before house was alloted to them at Savda Ghewra in the North-Western part of Delhi.

Shabhana,18 D/o of Meraj Jahan seen reading the Holy Quran outside her 24sq. yrds- 2 room house, she doesn’t have a formal education, but is well read with Islamic literature.

When most of the others in their block seem to be complaining about the basic amenities in the colony, this family seems to be satisfied with whatever they have. They say- “So far Allah has given us everything and we are living a modest life and are happy.”
Shabhana’s brother who is the sole bread earner works as a butcher and earns about 5000-6000 per month.

Ramzan: The month of Quran & Ibadat

The two things which we find people doing during the month of Ramzan are Dhikr (Remembrance of Allah) and rest. It’s either of the two that most people do when fasting. You could see them offering prayers, doing dhikr, reading the Quran, talking about Islam and when not doing any of these you find them resting.

Quran

Chapter 2, Revelation 185 of the Quran states:
The month of Ramadan is that in which was revealed the Quran; a guidance for mankind, and clear proofs of the guidance, and the criterion (of right and wrong). And whosoever of you is present, let him fast the month, and whosoever of you is sick or on a journey, a number of other days. Allah desires for you ease; He desires not hardship for you; and that you should complete the period, and that you should magnify Allah for having guided you, and that perhaps you may be thankful.

Pockets so BIG- Hearts so SMALL!

You live in big houses.. Drive expensive cars.. Wear fancy clothes… Eat at high end  restaurants.. Have servants-that too children as servants at your disposal… Then you go out with your kids and friends and take the child servant with you to take care of the kids. You order for food and you gobble it up!
You don’t have a heart to buy a little something for the poor kid who’s supposed to keep an eye your kids!
That poor soul keeps waiting, that he will also get to eat something but that doesn’t happen…. He just keeps waiting for it!
And YOU, YOU have a great time eating and chatting with your friends!
And on top of that when you leave the place, you order something up for the road and ask the poor child to hold it for you!

YOUR POCKETS MAY BE BIG BUT YOUR HEARTS ARE TOO SMALL!!

This incident happened today when I was at dunkin donuts-CP, when a group came and were seated opposite us, along with this group you could see a boy hardly 10yrs old who kept standing at one corner looking after the kids who came with this group.
This family seemed well-off, they placed their order for the donuts and coffee and shakes and never bothered to order a little something for that  kid- who supposedly seemed like a labor at their disposal.
The kid kept waiting patiently and eagerly for someone from this family to walk up to him and offer him a donut, but that never happened.
How much does a donut cost? Hardly 50bucks!!!
